California trip - Light House

We took a trip to Berkeley California to enjoy time with Benjamin and Samantha and boys over Labor Day weekend.  Caleb went with us. We drove to Provo and then across Nevada.  We got to Berkeley Friday night after a day of driving..

 Point Bonita Lighthouse expedition

The beginning in the parking lot.  We were not sure where the light house was.  Parking lots can have a certain appeal.  Most of the pictures contain one of the group.  The trick is to find them.

The group is ready to move out.

Can you see the seals?

The lighthouse is hidden behind the rock.

Finally a group picture!

Anna and James are crossing the bridge.  Caleb is on the left side of the picture.

The picture does not capture the feelings that I had walking across the bridge.

Maya and Anna are getting stamps in the lighthouse building!

There was a sign at the beginning that said "No Climbing!" Hardest thing for James to obey.
Point Bonita is a working lighthouse.  James is looking at a bulb that is used for the light.

Across the water you can see the Golden Gate

Anna, James, and Caleb!  James and Caleb are on the other side of the bridge.
